Dubai, UAE, August 26, 2020 – In a unique achievement that marks the culmination of 18 years of innovation and leadership as the first hub of smart learning in the UAE and the Arab world, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) announced a first-of-its-kind ‘Blended Delivery Model’ that signals the start of higher learning using the latest technological innovations, a move that falls in line with the UAE’s efforts to ensure the continuity of the educational process in a rapidly changing world.

HBMSU has revealed that it will be receiving learners for the Fall 2020 semester with a new look based on a 100 per cent fully balanced and advanced smart learning model across all of its bachelors’, masters’ and doctoral programs. The move is aimed towards consolidating the university’s pioneering position as an influential force in directing the re-engineering of the future of learning and education while also building an innovative educational system that transforms learners into globally competitive innovators instead of just recipients, in line with the objectives set forth in the National Agenda of UAE Vision 2021.

American University of Dubai’s ArchEATable Competition

Dubai, UAE, December 17th, 2018 – The American University in Dubai’s Architecture Department at the SAAD presented “archEatable, A Journey through Architecture and Patisserie,” an innovative course given by Professor Jose Carrilo.  This course exposed the students to advanced knowledge in digital design and fabrication by establishing a cross relationship between architecture and pastry making.

On Wednesday, December 19th at 7pm in Dubai’s Design District the finalists presented their designs to a panel of jurors that included esteemed chefs and professors from various professional backgrounds. Each student presentation was be paired with an on-going video of the progress and production of the cakes, documented by students from the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication. The winner of the competition received a certificate of participation and a trophy for the “archEatable Best Cake Award 2018.”

More foreign students come from India: Dubai study

India is being seen as the fastest-growing international student target market in the next three years.

Dubai, UAE, October 9th, 2018 – India could overtake China as the fastest-growing international student target market for universities, according to a Dubai study on transnational student mobility and university trends.
